Joseph Forrest Awarded the Horton & Mendez Bobby Mendez Traumatic Brain Injury Scholarship

 
Horton & Mendez Injury Attorneys are proud to announce Joseph Forrest as the recipient of the $2,500 Bobby Mendez Traumatic Brain Injury Scholarship. Joseph is currently pursuing a degree in Theology with a minor in Christian Counseling at Liberty University and plans to dedicate his career to helping others navigate trauma and hardship.

Joseph’s journey has been shaped by resilience. He lives with the long-term effects of multiple traumatic brain injuries, which have presented ongoing physical, cognitive, and financial challenges. Through his scholarship submission, Joseph shared how these experiences strengthened his empathy, deepened his faith, and inspired his calling to serve others through counseling and ministry.
The Bobby Mendez Traumatic Brain Injury Scholarship was created in honor of Bobby Mendez and reflects Horton & Mendez’s commitment to supporting students impacted by brain injuries as they pursue higher education. We congratulate Joseph Forrest on this well-deserved award and commend his perseverance, compassion, and dedication to turning adversity into purpose.
