Trial Lawyer and Personal Injury Advocate Serving all of North Carolina

Ed Yount is a Trial Lawyer at Horton & Mendez Injury Lawyers, representing injured people and their families throughout the Greensboro–Winston-Salem–High Point area and across North Carolina. Licensed since 2004, Ed has built a career on the cases that demand a courtroom: serious personal injury, nursing home neglect, medical malpractice, and commercial vehicle collisions. These are the cases insurers fight hardest, and they are the cases Ed prepares from the outset to take the fight to them.

Ed began his career as a plaintiff’s attorney where he represented injured parties in automobile crash cases. He went on to spend over 20 years handling primarily medical malpractice, nursing homes, commercial motor vehicles and premises liability cases. Over the course of his career, Ed has tried over thirty cases to verdict in North Carolina’s state courts and has recovered over ninety million dollars on behalf of injured clients and surviving families.

His practice concentrates on injuries with lifelong consequences. In nursing home and long-term care cases, Ed works through staffing records, care plans, and internal reporting to show how a facility’s choices led to a resident’s harm. In medical malpractice, he builds cases around the standard of care with the physicians and specialists best positioned to explain what should have happened. In commercial vehicle and trucking cases, he moves quickly for driver logs, telematics, and maintenance history — the evidence that disappears if no one demands it. Ed lives in the Greensboro–Winston-Salem–High Point area with his wife, daughter and son.
