Jacksonville, NC – August 16, 2021 – The Hanks were saddened to learn on Friday the 13th of August, 2021, that Curry – their beloved 7-year-old Border Collie mix, died earlier that day during a grooming related incident at Animal House, a business located at 665 Bell Fork Road, Jacksonville, NC, which provides grooming, lodging, and doggie day camp services. One person has been criminally charged in connection with Curry’s death.
The Hanks are devastated by the loss of Curry, especially under these circumstances. However, they are grateful for the outpouring of support from the community and the willingness of those who have come forward to offer information.
As investigations by law enforcement and our office are ongoing, the Hanks respectfully reserve further comment.
