Before entering the legal profession, McCollum served as an Infantry Officer in the United States Army, where he developed the leadership, discipline, and strategic thinking that continue to define his approach to advocacy today. He later graduated magna cum laude from Campbell University’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law and served as Editor-in-Chief of the Campbell Law Review.
