Peloton Recalls All Treadmills After A Child’s Death And 70 Injuries

Peloton has recalled all of its treadmills. A governmental agency previously released an “urgent warning” for users of the treadmill. In a news release, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said it was aware of “multiple reports of children becoming entrapped, pinned, and pulled under the device.” The CPSC is urging parents of young children and owners of pets to stop using the device immediately.

Peloton initially denied that the device was dangerous, commenting that the CPSC report was “inaccurate and misleading.” In a reversal, the CEO has now admitted that was a mistake and is working with CPSC to “set new industry standards for treadmills.”

Peloton is under harsh criticism for failing to put safety first. If you have been injured on a Peloton Tread, or know of somebody who has been injured by one of these devices, please contact our attorneys today to discuss your case.
